Every Friday night at 11 p.m. a small band of St. Michael’s parishioners and neighborhood allies gather at the Whole Foods at 97th and Columbus to pick up food kindly donated to the Saturday Kitchen/Pilgrim Resource Center guests and bring it to the Parish House. Usually, the whole operation is finished by 11:39. Whole Foods asks that we come with a vehicle. If you own a car, van, or truck—or have a Zipcar account!—or simply are up for helping to schlep, please sing out. Another way to help: when you are shopping at that Whole Foods, please stop by the Info Desk (near checkout) and tell them: “Thank you for your food donations the St. Michael’s Saturday Kitchen.” To sign up or learn more, please contact Jeff Jeffreys at jeff1038@hotmail.com
