Our children and youth are at the heart of the St Michael’s community, welcomed and involved in all aspects of our life together. At St. Michael’s value the nurture of children, our ministry to children, and the ministry of children to us. We love, listen to and share our love of God with the children who are part of our parish family. Our programs of Christian education, music, family formation and worship offer something for kids of all ages.
Important Dates for Children & Youth, Spring 2012
Sunday, April 1: Palm Sunday, 10:00 am: Procession with palms led by the children, and the the Passion According to St. Mark, performed by the high schoolers.
Sunday, April 8: Easter Sunday, 10:00am, with flowering of the cross by the children. Easter egg hunt following the service on the playground.
Sunday, April 15, 10:00 am: A Celebration of Manhood and Womanhood, as part of the Parish Holy Eucharist.
Friday-Sunday, April 20-22: Youth Retreat at Incarnation Camp (for 7th-12th graders)
Saturday, May 26, 10:30 am: Confirmation (at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine)
Wednesday, May 30, 7:00 pm: Talent Show, in the Recital Hall
Sunday, June 3: Last Day of Spring 2012 Sunday School
1:00 pm, Meeting with All Parents and Sunday School Teachers, in the Reception Room (pizza and childcare provided)
Sunday, June 10, 10:00 am, Youth Sunday: A celebration of the ministries of our children and youth at St. Michael’s as part of the Parish Holy Eucharist.
