Have you ever wondered if you can go away for the weekend or sleep late on Sunday and still make it to an informal yet meaningful church service at St. Michael’s? Are you looking for a worship experience that is a little more intimate and reflective? Would you like to hear a spontaneous group of musicians play a broad range of lively music? Do you enjoy wine and snacks and fellowship after a service? Then Intersection, our Sunday at 6:00 pm service, might be for you! Why not give us a try one Sunday? You’ll be glad you did!
Morning Prayer and Eucharist
Every weekday morning of the year, people gather in the chapel at St. Michael’s to say Morning Prayer. On Wednesdays and Feast Days, Holy Eucharist follows Morning Prayer. The service is simple and reverent, the light pours in through the church windows and we’re finished in under 45 minutes. It’s a wonderful way to begin the day, to be nourished by scripture and sacrament, to touch base with a caring community, and to offer yourself with all your concerns and thanksgivings to God. Please join us at 7:45 am Monday-Friday, or at 9:00 am on Saturdays and federal holidays.
On Wednesday evenings at 8:30 pm during the school year, you are invited to come, be still and pray in our beautiful, dimly-lit church as our professional octet chants the final prayers of the day set to music from the past millennium. Compline lasts about twenty minutes and is a deeply moving way to bring closure and tranquility to your day.
