Baptism is initiation into the Christian community. At St. Michael’s baptisms are joyful, important events for the entire parish community. The liturgy of Holy Baptism takes place within the parish’s celebration of the Holy Eucharist at four traditional times during the year: the feast of the Baptism of Our Lord during Epiphany; the Great Vigil of Easter; Pentecost; and the feast of All Saints. To further support the communal nature of this ritual, adult candidates and the parents and guardians of child candidates are required to meet with a member of the clergy to prepare for baptism.
If you or your child would like to be baptized, please contact a member of the clergy as so that a pre-baptism class can be arranged.
