The Feast of St. Michael and All Angels (tr.)

September 29

This Feast is of particular significance to the parish of St. Michael’s. St. Michael was the great angel who led an army of angels in heaven in battle against the evil dragon. Michael and the angels defeated the dragon, and there was a big celebration in heaven. This event is represented in the stained glass windows behind the altar in our sanctuary. We celebrate this day with a procession of spectacular angel puppets at the 10 am service. Kids are invited to make the angels on the previous Wednesday. Everyone who would like to be part of the angel procession should arrive in the church at 9:45 am on St. Michael’s Day; if you can’t come make an angel on Sunday, don’t worry! We have plenty of extras from years past.
