Our Sunday school instills each child with the knowledge that he or she is God’s beloved child. In class, children and youth practice loving their their neighbors as they love themselves, learn to relate the stories in the Bible to their lives, pray together, and celebrate the richness of our Episcopal tradition. Each Sunday school class is taught by two or three volunteer Sunday school teachers who are members of this parish with a commitment to the spiritual formation of our young people.
Saint Michael’s offers Sunday school classes for children in Pre-K through grade 5 following the 10:00 am service on Sundays from September through the beginning of June. Children gather by the Chapel of the Angels during the final hymn, and an adult shepherd takes them to their classrooms. We kindly ask parents to accompany their children to their classrooms if they arrive after the group has left the church. Parents pick up their children from the classrooms at 12:15 pm.
All children and youth are most welcome here.
Please contact Andrea Dedmon, Director of Children’s and Youth Ministries with any questions about Sunday school.
