Christian Baptism
Baptism is initiation into the Christian community, best experienced within the context of community. The liturgy of Holy Baptism at St. Michael’s takes place within the main 10:00 Communion service at four traditional times during the year: the feast of the Baptism of Our Lord during Epiphany; Easter; Pentecost; and the feast of All Saints. To further support the communal nature of this ritual, adult candidates and parents and guardians of child candidates are required to attend baptismal preparation classes held at St. Michael’s.
Upcoming Baptism Date
Our next baptism date is Pentecost, on Sunday, May 27. If you are interested in being baptized or having your child baptized on that date, please contact the Rev. Susan Hill or the Rev. Liz Maxwell as soon as possible to arrange classes.
